BOOK OF MORMON POWER!

Hey everyone! This last week was very very crazy! We had a lot of meetings, a lot of exchanges, and were super busy, but we didn't get to teach and find as much as we wanted. But that's okay!

We taught Stephanie on Tuesday and she is doing good! She has been in Utah since Thursday visiting her boyfriend. We haven't talked to her yet, but hopefully will be teaching her tomorrow! She is super cool!

We spent a lot of time trying to find people to teach from our own efforts. We weren't able to find a lot of people but we have a few potentials we are going to try to work with.

I've really learned a lot from the importance of the Book of Mormon. Elder Figgins and I have been reading it as a companionship and we've both noticed a difference in the spirit we feel. They are some of the most spiritual comp studies I've had and they are so simple! If you need a pick me up, take 5 minutes and read the Book of Mormon. It will help!

That's all I got this week! I love you!

The Book of Mormon, Children of God, and #God'sSquad

Another busy week in paradise...
We had a pretty successful week in my opinion. We had a pretty solid zone conference on Tuesday. They talked a ton about the Book of Mormon and how powerful a tool it is in our teaching. A lot of the time we hesitate to use the Book of Mormon to help resolve concerns because not everyone believes in it like the Bible, but there is a spirit with the Book of Mormon. It's not more important than the Bible, but it's no less important either. If people come to know the Book of Mormon is true and the teachings in it are true then they will be able to gain a testimony of the reality of Christ's living church upon the earth. I don't know about you guys, but I think that's a pretty good think to know! So we've been trying to find ways to apply it.

Stephanie is doing great! We only got to teach her once this last week. We taught her the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which talks about faith, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the holy ghost, and enduring to the end. She's been excited for it. She talked to us about moving her baptism back because her boyfriend will be visiting her from Utah the end of June and because he got her all started on this, she wants him to be there. We said that would be acceptable :) She came to church and she is absolutely killing it! She told her ride home that she felt at home when she was there. The Spirit is the best. Glad he's on our team! We have another lesson with her tomorrow and then she goes to Utah to meet the man that started this all for the first time! So hopefully it goes well :) She's so golden and we're pumped for her!

We had a few meetings to prepare for, lots of planning to do, and we decided that we were going to clean out the apartment. Like, really clean it! After having missionaries for so long they get pretty nasty! It took a few hours, but HOLY COW! It feels so nice. I'm not the most organized individual, but the spirit is so much more welcome in a place of order and cleanliness.

We had such a powerful experience with Angel, a recent convert, this last week. Her parents live in Japan and they were not happy about her joining the church at all! She has planned on serving a mission since she was baptized and she told them this last week that she was planning on doing that. They did not take it well. We were able to give her a blessing and have been trying to help her. It's been rough. She's been so sad. At church we saw her and she was not her usual happy self at all. She just had a sad face and sat on the side bench away from everyone else. We sat by her. During sacrament the Stake Relief Society President spoke and said she woke up at 3 AM and felt like she needed to change the topic she was assigned and didn't know why, but she felt like someone needed to hear it. She went on to talk about her conversion story when she was 19, how her parents were very mad and made it hard, how she decided to serve a mission, and how that choice blessed her family. It was obvious to us that it was for Angel.

Ladies and gentlemen... You're all children of God and whether you like it or not. That's the truth and that's just the way it is. He loves us and is aware of all our needs and circumstances. Always keep your head up and your knees down. Heavenly Father is always there to help His children regardless of the choices they make or the trials they go through. If there is anything you get from this email (and if you honestly read this far rather than just looking at the pictures you, know Elder Kapp loves you especially much) JUST KNOW THIS! Heavenly Father loves you. It is not conditional to your obedience or diligence in the gospel. It's constant. Whether you feel that love or are blessed by it all depends on you and your obedience and diligence and faith. Trust God. Read the Book of Mormon EVERY DAY this week and I promise you will feel His love greater and your faith will grow.

#God'sSquad after Zone Conference. We asked Sister Thomas to take a picture of just a few of us, but more walked by and we invited them all in. It turned out really cool!

New Investigator and Mothers Day!

Hey Everyone!

Great week this last week! Absolutely wonderful! We saw tons of miracles and made lots happen!
We picked up a new investigator named Stephanie! She is super cool! She is dating a member in Utah and we were able to teach her twice this last week. She is very willing to give it all a try. She is reading and we set a baptism date for June 3! She came to church for all 3 hours and enjoyed it. We are excited for this next week!

We had exchanges with the AP's on Thursday. I went with Elder Higginson. He came here to Murrieta. It was one of the most effective days of my mission. At lunch we set some goals for the number of people we will talk to, the number of lessons we'd teach, and the number of potential investigators we'd get before dinner. We grinded hard, tracted, and contacted for the next 3 hours and we did it! It was cool! I really enjoyed it.

On Saturday we went to the Demkes again and helped at the ranch. It's a lot of fun! Even though we are just cleaning up horse poop, it's a good time!

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY MOM! I enjoyed my skype call. It's crazy to think the next time I see my family will be at home!

I love you all! Elder Kapp

Week 2 of Murrieta!

Hey everyone! I only got a couple minutes This last week was pretty slow. We are just organizing and trying to figure out what to do, but we have a ton of potential at this point. I am loving Murrieta and absolutely having a blast with Elder Figgins! We are working hard to turn the area around and find people to teach. We didn't get to teach any investigators this last week, but we got to stop by a bunch of part member families and we are hoping to start teaching some of them.

We had MLC this last week. That was fun because we car pooled with Temecula, which means I got to hangout with Elder Gull and Eddins! They are both such good guys! I am excited to see what will happen this transfer!

Alta Murrieta & Murrieta Springs YSA

Week one of Murrieta... CHECK! It was a good one, but a very long week! Gosh, there is a lot of work to do here, but I super excited to get it done with Elder Figgins! I've absolutely loved being with him. He's one of the most humble guys I know. The last transfer didn't go like he wanted, but he's super dedicated to be the best he can be and get stuff done! We don't know very much about the area yet because both of us are new. He's only been here 6 weeks. We are reorganizing and getting everything set up so we can find, teach and baptize!!!

We are working a ton with the stake right now. We go on lots of splits which is cool so many people want to come help, but neither of us really know what we're doing yet so it's kind of frustrating.

I really like both of our wards. We have lots of super great people in both the Alta Murrieta ward and the YSA. I still am working on getting to know the people. I hope I get to be here for a while and get to know them.

I hope you all have a great week!
